Director of Product Management
Position:
ProQuo is looking for a results oriented Director of Product Management to lead & drive product activities across engineering, operations and marketing functions. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and operating leader who has demonstrable experience managing multiple product initiatives as well as driving product strategy and the product management process. You must possess deep and broad experience developing market and customer requirements, leading and collaborating with cross functional teams, developing product(s) and roadmap(s), as well as executing plans in a timely and high quality manner.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with ProQuo leadership to establish an aggressive product roadmap to meet company objectives and financial goals
- Drive the definition and prioritization of requirements to be aligned with company priorities
- Perform feature/functionality triage to meet customer needs and aggressive release dates
- Balance product initiatives with marketing objectives, and development resources
- Work closely with Development team to prioritize product functionality and features.
- Pursue, support and/or lead partner efforts, integration planning, and contracting
- Clearly communicate aggressive plans and the resources needed to execute plans
- Be skilled at negotiating with external groups and internal teams
- Innovate and test ideas, source product development opportunities and push organizational success
Minimum qualifications
- MS/MBA with a BA/BS Computer Science, IT, Math, or related technical field preferred
- 10+ years experience, with at least 7 years in product management/development with a consumer oriented web company
- Strong project management experience
- Prior life in application development/software engineering preferred
- Demonstrated experience bringing products from concept to launch
- Supervisory and team building experience

Senior Java Software Engineer
ProQuo is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer who can play a key role in designing and implementing enterprise level, multi-tier client/server Java applications for our consumer web-site. You will work under the direction of the Director of Software Development as a member of our Agile software development team.
Responsibilities:
- Research open source Java technologies and provide guidance for make/buy/adopt decisions for major projects adding new functionality and features.
- Provide guidance for selection of development and support tools.
- Interface directly with Product Management team to assist in translating business requirements into design documentation.
- Provide guidance for the design, implementation and tuning of complex relational databases.
- Setup monitoring and analysis of system performance for continuous improvement of system processes.
- Work with technical personnel of third-party providers to design, implement and support complex software-as-service interfaces.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in development of enterprise level Java applications.
- BS or MS in Computer Science.
- Previous experience as a member of an Agile development team.

Network Engineer/Systems Administrator
ProQuo is seeking an outstanding Network Engineer with Windows and Linux Systems Administration experience. You will work under the direction of the Manager of Networks as a member of the ProQuo network support team.
Responsibilities:
- Implementation of ProQuo security policies.
- Installation, configuration, monitoring and support of networking gear that supports ProQuo’s production systems and back-office systems.
- Installation, configuration, monitoring and support of servers and workstations.
- Installation, configuration, monitoring and support of Operating Systems software and applications.
- Provide input for selection of networking, server and workstation hardware.
- Research and keep up to date on the latest networking, server and workstation technologies and pricing.
Required Skills
- 5 years of experience in a network support role with systems administration responsibilities.
- Cisco certification or equivalent experience.

Senior Java Developer
Principal Duties
The person filling this position will be responsible for designing, coding and testing added features and new versions of the ProQuo web-site. Duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Design, code and test entirely new versions or extensions to current versions of the business logic behind the ProQuo web-site.
- Detect, diagnose, and resolve problems with multiple versions of web-site business logic and database access software. Work with external third party partners to assist in resolving API and data transport problems.
- Ensure application security by designing and implementing appropriate security into business logic and API software solutions. Ensure software compliance with appropriate internal and external security standards (ex. ProQuo INFOSEC Security Policies, ProQuo Application Security Standards and OWASP Standards).
- Assist in efforts to recruit additional development staff by participating in the candidate interview process. Train and mentor new development employees on Java development processes, procedures and tools as well as security procedures and proper software security design issues.
- Assist in efforts to extend ProQuo’s development knowledge base by researching external Java development subject matter such as open source software community publications, software vendor web sites and reference books.
- Design and implement middle-ware SQL solutions for storing and maintaining data in the ProQuo back-end relational database.
A Senior Java Developer must be able to work independently on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. He/she must be able to exercise good judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. He/she must be able to determine the need for procedures, practices and tools and initiates efforts to acquire. He/she will provide technical leadership and mentoring needed to increase the skills and knowledge of the team. A Senior Java Developer is the go-to person in leading and assessing efforts related to web site business logic and database access development issues. He/she will frequently be present at design reviews and presentations. He/she manages and reviews their own work and product of external third party partners. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve assigned results would normally require only moderate expenditure of resources to rectify. He/she represents the organization on specific projects/teams and with partners or vendors.
Qualifications
Requires a BS in computer science or engineering/technical field or relevant job experience.
Must have strong Java and J2EE development experience within a framework such as JSF. Must have excellent understanding of multi-tier web architectures as well as development tools and technologies such as HTML, XML and SQl. Experience with a server side scripting languages such as Perl, PHP or Python is also required. Must possess a keen understanding of web services protocols such as SOAP and REST. Must have a good understanding of SQL and knowledge of relational database concepts. Must have experience in a Linux development environment.
Strong verbal (particularly by phone) communications skills required, including the ability to present to and interface well with remote back-end development employees and technical personnel of prospective business partners. Requires project management skills and ability to set and manage multiple priorities. Ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment, as well as work independently with limited supervision. Must have valid US passport and be eligible for visas for foreign travel. Occasional international travel will be required.
